How many years have you been with Summerfair Cincinnati?
My first fair was 1995.
Why did you join the organization?
I am a long time collector of the Summerfair Posters and a long time patron of Summerfair. I always went over to Summerfair when I was at the pool at Coney Island.
What’s your favorite thing about being a member volunteer?
I like giving to the arts and the community and being part of the poster concept.
What Fair committee do you normally work on? Why?
Poster/t-shirts, I keep wanting to volunteer somewhere else, but always get drawn back to the poster/t-shirts.
What’s one favorite memory you have from your green shirt experience at the Fair?
I have so many memories of so many different Fairs, I have become friends with so many exhibitors from all over the United States.
What’s your favorite Summerfair poster?
2004.
Tell us a little about yourself…
I enjoy going to Sunlite Pool in the Summer and soaking up as much of the sun as I can, when the seasons change I grab my skis and head out to Colorado. When the snow melts, I plant my garden.
In what Cincinnati community do you live?
Anderson Township, I have lived here my whole life.
Kids?
I have one son and one granddaughter.
Where are you employed and what’s your role there?
Self employed.
Hobbies (besides Summerfair!)?
I like to get out and exercise as much as I can. When I am out west I love to ski all over the Rockies. I enjoy working out in my yard and garden, cooking and of course shopping.
Do you make art / crafts?
I am not artsy or crafty at all.
Where’s your favorite vacation spot?
Colorado, in the Foothills, we are at 10,000 feet elevation.
What’s your favorite drink / food?
Salmon, it’s healthy.
What’s your favorite sports team?
Cincinnati Reds, I have been going to the Reds games with my Dad since Crosley Field, although I support all my home town teams from the Bengal to the Bearcats. |
